Okay, I think I found the instructions to allow posts to appear without first going through moderation. I just disabled it, so It should be easier now to comment. So let’s see if this works. . .
I’d like to try the option to include pictures, so lemme see. . . I think I’ll add one of Mzee and Owen. Such a cute story of a hippo and a tortoise who became friends after the latest tsunami tragedy in Thailand. Apparently, it affected parts of Africa, too. It’s believed that the hippo was washed out into the ocean and separated from momma. He was washed back on shore (w/o momma) and brought back to health, but was so very depressed that it was feared he would not survive. Then comes along this old onery tortoise who later befriends this hippo and now they’re just bossom buddies! LOL I find it amazing how the two get along! Anyway, here’s a pic and a link to the article:

Okay, that’s it for now. Have a nice day!

Interesting how two animals that have been around historically for a very, very long time… stick together naturally when nature takes it’s course with a tsunami.

That is an interesting thought, Kim. What first struck me was that they were/are able to communicate. I mean, they’re different species and all. The other day we were watching our video from our trip to Turkey. On it we got a cat on film (A Turkish cat, hee). You could hear it “meow” and all. Looks just like an American cat! LOL And sounds just like an American cat, too! Made me wonder whether they speak the same language as the cats in different parts of the world. After all, humans developed different languages? LOL
