Reflecting on the weekend

Just a little recap of last weekend. It was Mother’s Day on Sunday, and we took a late brunch at the Biltmore Hotel. My sister made the reservation about a week ago, and can you believe that the other places she called first were already booked solid for Mother’s Day? Lots of love out there for moms! :) So we settled for a 2PM brunch at the Biltmore, ha! But it was good anyway, and most importantly, the family time was great. It’s always so wonderful to see the smiles on my family’s faces. Just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, and that’s why I like to take pictures, so I can see them again. Here’s one of my sisters and me.

Here’s one with my youngest son and my parents (the small pot of roses was from him to his grandma, very sweet coming from a 13-year-old):

Yep, that’s me baby boy. . . and at 13, he’s now taller than I am with my heels on. . . amazing how that happens!

But that wasn’t all the fun this weekend! We also got to watch Spiderman 3! Yeah, me favorite superhero! Woo hoo! At first I was a little concerned because the critics were saying that it wasn’t as good as the first two. And the review I saw gave it a “B.” Well, I figured, the first two movies were hard acts to follow! So I wanted to watch the 3rd one on big screen anyway and judge for myself. And I’m glad I did! I LIKED IT! Granted it did have a slightly different feel to it, and there were some sad parts because. . . well, I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t watched it yet, but suffice it to say that I really like the relationships in that series. The script writers are A-OKay in my book. Very sweet, and feels more like something I can relate to. Spidey 3 was definitely not a disappointment to me. And so, once again, until the next crisis arises, all is well with the world. . . :)

Toodles for now!
