Somehow, I can relate to this song
It seems that I’m still realizing more stuff that I’ve lost on my computer since my hard drive crash a couple months ago. Not only did I lose so many notes, saved emails, email addresses, and photos; I found that I also lost all the music I downloaded from ITunes. . . Then my son sent me a link with computer poems, and I found one that felt appropriate to my situation.
If the Beatles Were Computer Geeks
Sing along…
Yesterday
Yesterday,
All those backups seemed a waste of pay.
Now my database has gone away.
Oh I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly,
There’s not half the files there used to be,
And there’s a milestone hanging over me.
The system crashed so suddenly.
I pushed something wrong
What it was I could not say.
Now all my data’s gone
and I long for yesterday-ay-ay-ay.
Yesterday,
The need for back-ups seemed so far away.
I knew my data was all here to stay,
Now I believe in yesterday.
I know. . . too lazy to blog, but it amused me, anyway.
